The Ordinary

The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion 30ml, £11.89

What is it: A derivative from vitamin A, retinol promotes cell turnover to refine pores, reduce dark spots, smooth fine lines and improve overall skin texture in one. The Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid 2% combines two forms of next-generation retinoid actives in a creamy hydrating emulsion format to help reduce the signs of ageing and textural irregularities.

  • The concentrated serum boasts multiple Peptide complexes, including Matrixyl 3000, Syn-Ake and Relistase, which work in synergy with 11 skin-friendly Amino Acids. With regular use, the serum seeks to smooth the complexion, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Expect a youthful look that is ultra-nourished.
  • Directions: Apply to the entire face in the AM and PM after cleaning.
  • Note: The name of this formula was inspired by some brands referring to their expensive products offering combinations of these technologies as a “buffet”, distastefully comparing such products to buffets that offer various kinds of food in one sitting.

The Ordinary 100% Plant-derived Squalane 30ml, £6.72

  • Reduces Appearance of Eye Contour Pigmentation and of Puffiness
  • This light-textured formula contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, supplemented with highly-purified Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside (EGCG’) from green tea leaves. Independent studies have shown that topical use of each of caffeine and EGCG’ can help reduce looks of puffiness and of dark circles in the eye contour. Additional studies have shown that caffeine can also reduce the appearance of cellulite.
  • A concentrated serum with high-solubility caffeine and green tea cathechin to visibly reduce eye contour pigmentation and puffiness Directions Massage a small amount onto the eye contour AM and PM.

The Ordinary’ Squalane Cleanser 50ml, a gentle, moisturizing facial cleanser £8.28

  • A gentle cleansing product formulated to target makeup removal whilst leaving the skin feeling smooth and moisturized.
  • The formula incorporates Squalane, alongside other lipophilic esters that are gentle, moisturizing, efficient in dissolving makeup and facial impurities and increasing the spreadability of the product.
  • When rubbed between your palms for approximately 10-30 seconds, the product undergoes an important textural change from a balm-like consistency to a clear oil-like consistency.
  • This allows the emulsifying sucrose esters in the formula to trap and blend the dissolved makeup and facial impurities with water for rinsing.
  • Being non-comedogenic and soap-free, this formula is designed to be gentle enough for daily use, without over-drying the skin, making it suitable for all skin types.
